MACH and Soccer Village Celebrate 15 Years of Teaming Up

May 13, 2014 | By

Soccer Village, one of the nation’s largest soccer uniform and equipment retailers, is celebrating its 15th year with MACH Software.

Soccer Village and MACH teamed up in 1999 when the retailer purchased the MACH Point of Sale system to support its three stores. A few years later, they opened an online team sales website and integrated it with the MACH order management software. No longer did coaches have to collect checks and handle the team’s uniform ordering. Instead, each player could go to their own team’s portal and place individual, personalized orders. The MACH integration also supported the retailer’s public online store that sells general soccer related items.

Soccer Village has enjoyed expansive growth since its single store opening 30 years ago. They have become the largest soccer specialty retailer and supplier of club uniforms in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. Currently, they operate 7 retail stores (Cincinnati, Louisville, Columbus and Indianapolis), as well as the ecommerce site and online team sales system. This summer, the company plans to expand its ecommerce business beyond the Midwest with a MACH/Magento integration.
This is a great year to expand the website. It’s a World Cup Year (2014) and this brings a lot of excitement and attention to soccer. And with the MACH Software/Magento integration and our new, updated ecommerce site, we expect the web sales to really take off.
